Singita Kwitonda Lodge is a luxury safari lodge perfect for affluent travelers seeking gorilla trekking safaris in Rwanda. Set by the luxurious Singita hospitality and conservation group of Eastern and Southern Africa, the twin establishment together with Kataza House in Rwanda is managed by the Singita. Singita Lodge occupies 178 acres of land and it is found on the extreme side of Volcanoes National Park Rwanda.

Singita Kwitonda Lodge derives its name from Kwitonda silverback, a humble and massive male gorilla who passed on in 2012 at 40 years. The local word Kwitonda means ‘to be humble’ in Kinyarwanda language. This establishment was officially opened in August 1st 2019 thus offering more luxury accommodation options to tourists on gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park Rwanda.

Singita Lodge features a unique décor depicting the unique style of Land of a Thousand Hills. Its bricks were baked in volcanic rocks, wood-fired oven and it features woven thatch-wooden ceilings. Singita Lodge is comprised of 9 suites, of which, 7 rooms are individual 1-bedroom suites providing ultimate privacy to visitors and 8 are family suites with 2 bedrooms whereas the 9th one is Kataza house mainly for exclusive use with 4 bedrooms.
